We never say never, but it is highly unlikely that his spirit would come to you in another body. He would probably have to invade a current body right at the point of death as the original spirit is leaving. There have been reports of this happening but it is not at all likely. If he reincarnates right away, he would come in as almost all of us do as a newborn baby.
Cannot tell you from here what this feeling you are getting is but here are some possibilities.
If he was involved in a violent and sudden death, it is possible that he did not cross over into the light and remains earthbound. (ghost) In such case he could certainly be hanging around you. If this is the case you would probably notice a significant energy drain. Earthbounds have no energy source and even thought they do not need as much as someone with a body, they still need some and tend to drain it of of other incarnates. Especially if they can evoke an emotional rush of energy like if they can scare you. Also, if it is his spirit and it is earthbound, no matter what he or anyone else tells you, he cannot help you in his circumstance. I have facilitated the release of many spirits to the light that have told me that they stayed around to look after loved ones, etc. and then the light source above them closed off and they became trapped and didn't know what to do. I have dealt with spirits that body had died from a couple of years ago back to 1836 was the longest duration that I have personally dealt with.
If it is him or even some other discarnate spirit and you wish to do something about it to help, these are what I see as your options. Find someone who works with a deep trance medium such as I do that establish a communication and that knows how to do spirit release work. Or talk to him (yes spirits can hear you, but it takes a very specially developed person in a body to hear them.) and tell him to go to a funeral home where fresh deal bodies are common. The light I am speaking of will be open to the newly departed and an older, trapped spirit can "piggy back" off of them and find their way home back into the light. This is a method suggested by Mary An Winkowiski, author of "When Ghosts Speak" and consultant to the CBS Television show "Ghost Whisperer."
